I am running to be Vice Chair of the DNC to get back to the basics: year-round organizing, engaging hard-to-reach voters by strengthening our message, and broadening its delivery.

With your support, we can restore the Democratic Party’s connection to diverse and working-class voters by showing up and listening.

Artie's Record of Leadership

DNC:

  • Member of the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee and Executive Committee, representing Nevada.
  • Joined the DNC in 2005 as Southwest Political Director.

Nevada:

  • Moved to Nevada in 2009, answering Senator Harry Reid’s call to expand the Latino electorate.
  • Led a nonprofit civic engagement organization, achieving record Latino voter registration and turnout.

Labor:

  • Served as Nevada State Director for the AFL-CIO in 2012 and later as Regional Campaigns Coordinator.
  • Appointed National Campaign Director for AFL-CIO in 2023.

Latino Advocacy:

  • Dedicated her career to expanding Latino voter participation and representation.
  • Achieved record-breaking Latino voter turnout through civic engagement efforts.

Texas Roots and Early Career:

  • Began political journey as a college freshman working for Congressman Gene Green in Houston, Texas.
  • Gained experience with NALEO, the Texas Legislature, and the DCCC before joining the DNC.
